I'm looking for someone who might be interested in beta-reading a WIP (I'm just past the half-way point I'd guess, 13 out of a likely 20 chapters done).
Briefly, the book, Panzerfaust!, is set in an alternate reality. In 1944, WWII shows no end in sight, and the Nazis have improved their lot by summoning forth unseen demons to drive their panzers.
Panzerfaust! follows Simone LaFayette, a 14-year-old girl who finds herself at the center of history when a demon-slaying dagger is quite literally thrust into her care. To retrieve it, the Nazis kidnap her family and set off a massive manhunt for her. She has to fight against Nazi stormtroopers and their demonic allies to get back her family, get to safety and protect the dagger.
That, at least, is the 50-cent version. It's pretty action oriented, but I think with a good amount of character development focused on Simone (coming of age with tanks you could say).
