It's good because they either haven't gotten to it yet or they're hanging on to it because it's good. You could still be at the back of the pile, or you've passed round one.

Keep the faith, peeps. I wanna see one t-shirt. That's not asking too much, is it?

Wow, four day turn around, I'm impressed!

I should have read the submission guidelines a bit more attentively, but I'm reveling in the positive feedback that I got. Now I just gotta think of another short!

Awesome!
Cheers,
Christina

These guys are fast. My first reject (for a 1500 or so word story) was 3 days. This one was 5. Please do update them in Duotrope (if you use Duotrope). They deserve that recognition, I think, for their quick responses.

And--another reject. Although they liked the line about what he tasted in her blood.

It was fun. And I'm glad about what they liked, as I cribbed much of the short from my vampire novel. :)

Much good luck, everyone! ONE OF US HAS TO MAKE IT IN!

Bummers, Lily. :( And I loved that line too.

I don't have another one to send, but we've got a bunch out there from the rest of the peeps. I'm with you. ONE OF US HAS TO MAKE IT IN!

In your closet with the Boogeyman's corpse!
Wow, these guys are fast. I sent mine on Sunday and received a rejection last night. One day response! Good luck to everyone who has not heard from them yet. And to the others who were rejected: keep writing and submitting! :D

As of now, I haven't been rejected yet. Of course, I only submitted Sunday night, but it doesn't hurt to be hopeful.

I sent in Bill and Lil's Wild Animal Preserve (version 1). It was a spur of the moment decision. On second thought, I don't think it's the best I had, but ... if it's accepted, it was a good choice; if not, I've got others (including some longer ones, more than 500 words).

I'm with dobiwon - I sent in mine late Sunday night and haven't heard anything yet. Perhaps the Sunday night entries have been lost in a black void? What if they make us dive into that horrible black void to retrieve them? Oh no! Is it worth it for a tee shirt?

Mine's in an even deeper, darker void. I've been waiting since the first.

I hate waiting.

G-mail's still empty. Yea! This is fun having so many to hold hands with, huh?

And to all who got one back, mail another. Or write another. We have till the 31st.

I'll bet that guy's loving this as much as we are.

Alas, the only other short I have is the squick-fest, and I subbed that to Chiaroscuro. Both places state "no simultaneous subs." So my hopes are on the latter and I'm waiting to see one of us in that t-shirt! :)

I'm still hanging in the "void". Subbed mine on the first but after having my last sub to another mag several months ago get lost in the internet I'm not holding my breath. Sorry for being piss-o-mistic. I should pop a cooler and think better thoughts. Ones filled with more coolers. Good luck, Horrorhounds!
