Don't be such a downer, gold. True, we've all experienced a pile of rejections (I've been racking up my fair share) but we still need to be optimistic about success. And it all starts with subbing so you're half way there. Congrats.

My piece was rejected too.

I went against the grain though and submitted a longer yarn.

Here's the possible form bits of the rejection:

Got mine this morning. The funny thing is, the reason for rejection they cited used almost as many words as my story.

But I have to say, it was one of the most informative rejections I ever received. Kudos, to NT--both for the speed of the rejection and for the helpful feedback.

Now...

I've got to find something to do with that little gem. Either another flash pub, or, maybe, expand the thing into a longer story.

yep, they sure word rejections, nicely.
Though mine was "a scene, rather than a story, and had no plot to speak of,"
there was "good action in it." And besides, "100 word shorts aren't easy to write."
(A lot better hearing this, than that it outrightly rotted.)

Back to the drawing board,
but a little wiser by the experience.
So maybe next time
