Wow! I didn't think they sounded good at all...mainly Joe Elliott.

That's too bad. I'm not even a fan and saw them last month (to score big points with the husband) and I thought they were terrific. I guess they're not exactly young guys anymore. Maybe the tour is wearing them out. Joe Elliott sounded terrific when I saw him. I even wrote it all up in a review for my website.

I was thinking of getting their new album. I guess they could've just had an off night.

I didn't see Jimmy Kimmel, but I can say their new album is excellent. I am going to see them in August and I am very excited.

I heard a new song of theirs on the XM and it wasn't good at all. As far as live goes they may have had an off night as has been said and those little studios can make a band sound rough. Kimmel had Slayer on and they sounded good but it wasn't in the studio it was at a venue of some sort.

There is a stadium here in my town that is set below street grade and has a long open fence along one side. So you can stand on the sidewalk and watch what's going on in the stadium. I have watched baseball and soccer games there and watched Def Leppard play a concert a few years ago. They sounded pretty good as far as I'm concerned.

Why didn't you like their new song? I think it is a great mix of classic def leppard while sounding new and fresh. Was it the one with Tim McGraw? Maybe you didn't like his influence?

Maybe. I didn't know McGraw was on a DL song. I don't know...it just didn't sound very good to me. I'm not the biggest DL fan, though. I have never had a DL record and don't know them all that well. Pretty well, though, as they have been around so long and I like that eighties type of buttrock/hair-metal/whateveryoucallit.
