I was advised to get a copy of Children's writers' & Artists' Yearbook 2008, and its great. It gives a list of all the Publishers and agents and what they look for.

Do you want to know of people just in US, its just I sent a couple of email submissions recently...only thing is their based in UK.
I would be happy to look through the above book, if you havent got one and see what I can find in US.

Let me know. :)

Hello - a fellow brit! :)
I would advise the same book - is there a US version?
Why do you want to particularly submit by email (if you don't mind me asking!)?

I think there maybe a US version...could be wrong though, I think I remember seeing ppl from US advising of this in another forum, again I could just be making it up and it is actually a completely different book.
I tried looking on web but didnt have much luck...sorry.

I 'd rather email submissions too. Its eaiser, and they recieve it quicker, means you might get a reponse just that little bit quciker :)

The post in the UK isnt the most reliable and also saves you having to pay for postage. I posted 23 letters, all 1st class at a cost of about £10 only to be told when I went to the post office to post that there wasnt enough postage and had to pay a further £4...I remember when a 1st class stamp was about 26p...I feel like my nan she used to say things like that "back in my day" and "we would never have done that in my day", god rest her soul.

In the US, it's the Children's Writer's and Illustrator's Market, updated yearly and available at most libraries. Published by Writer's Digest, which also has a website. Buy the book and you get web membership for free, I believe, or you can just subscribe to the website.
