Way to go, Ink! Congratulations!

I've driven by Medieval Times many times, but have never visited. Great article!

Super!! Great work! I LOVE Medieval Times - being an equestrienne & all.

Now, did you provide the pics? I'm a beginning freelancer now that I have made fiction take a backseat for a while.

The only pic. I provided for that one was the picture of the feed and hay. But I did do some of the pics. in my article in the previous issue: http://www.ecmagazine.net/winter0708/MiniDonkeys.htm

The first pic. is mine, as is the sign on the fence and one of the donkey shots. I am most definitely NOT a photographer, so I only do the pics. when necessary.

I thought this one was going to be a donkey article. Then I realized, oh, right, that would have been HEE haw.

There is one of these places near me. But it is all indoors, at a big outlet shopping mall. Do they have horses in there too??

LOL, good one about the donkeys!

If it's a Medieval Times by you, they definitely have horses. There was a lot that I couldn't fit into the article, but the owner is from Spain and is a major horse enthusiast so the restaurants are a way for him to showcase the horses and their dressage moves. They have the same show at every location.

Whoot! I love going to the show at MT, but I make my husband a bit nuts because I sit there and analyze the horses and their performances.

Very cool story!

LOL, I know what you mean! Hubby has learned about dressage through me, so he understands the difficulty of what he is watching. I went to MT with him and a group of horsey friends many years back, and we were all sitting there like, "Wow! Look at the airs above the ground!" and analyzing the performances, while all the city people around us were like, "Pretty horsies. Now when are the knights going to start battling?"

We are seriously thinking about going to this for our anniversary. How could you not go see horses flying through the air at a shopping mall? How did I not know that every time I went shopping for shoes there, there were horses flying through the air right next door?

I was kind of hoping there was some deal where I could just see the horses, skip the boring food, and leave exactly when the dumb jousting started. But although they offer a 'Royalty Upgrade' ticket, unfortunately they don't have anything like a 'Peasant Downgrade.'

LOL, I love it! Besides flying horses, they should also have a horse that walks on its hind legs. I think all but two of the castles have those, although being in a shopping mall might mean that yours is one of 'em...dunno if mall locations get the special poodle-horse or just the flying Andies.

Thanks for the congrats : )

I have two more coming out in the fall issue on two interesting breeds of horse, plus I have another Medieval Times article coming out in a Midwest regional. That one focuses on the Menorcan horses at MT...I'll post a link once it comes out and I get a scan.
