From his web site: "4/28/2008 - Neil Diamond on American Idol!
Neil Diamond will appear as a mentor to the remaining five contestants on American Idol on Tuesday April 29 and Wednesday, April 30. The idols will be singing Neil Diamond's songs on April 29, where Diamond will also appear in pre-recorded segments giving the contestants guidance and advice on their song choices and interpretations. On the April 30 elimination show, Neil Diamond will perform live on the American Idol stage. Tuesday night's program begins at 8pm and Wednesday night's show begins at 9pm."

You found it. The song that killed him for me. Blame the girl I called my best friend, growing up. At the time, I only had a mild dislike for Neil. When Pulp Fiction came out, she got the sound track and mercilessly tortured me with the opening, "Girl..." on 2 second repeat for about 6 weeks. She'd call me and just start playing it. Every time I got in her car, "Girl..." It was enough to make a girl insane.

So, as far as banning goes, how about the guy who started a thread just to get me all worked up?
