Anyone ever have something like this happen to them? (Warning: Possible squick, because of reference to pornography, but nothing too explicit.)
Like many other people, the internet has provided me with much information. Not all of this information is good. Case in point:
I discovered the VCL art website a long time ago, but never gave it a good look. Last week, I decided it had sat neglected in my bookmarks long enough, so I opened it up and--
POOOOORRRRRRNNN! Well, that's what my mind was saying, anyway.
Seriously, some of it was damn well-drawn, too. The thing is, I felt guilty about looking at it, so I shut it off. But my curiosity soon got the better of me, and I brought the site back up a couple of days later. Ah, furry porn, where would we be without you? I think these artists have unrealistic expectations for boobs and. . . manly bits.
But really, some of it was damn well-drawn.
I was happily cruising along, looking at all manner of furry art (not all of it pornography, to my and the artists' credit), when my mother came into the room. Like the nosy woman she is, she mosied on over to me and I quickly tried to minimize the window with the VCL site in it. But my computer froze.
Are you seeing where I'm going with this story?
Ha! Fooled you. I "accidentally" toed the switch on the floor that not only directs power to my computer, but also to my printer and a lamp. I don't remember what the things are called. I then proceeded to look extremely angry and screamed obscenities at the computer. My mother frowned at me and left.
Speed ahead. My mother is checking the history of visited websites. I heard her scream my name from the computer room. When she screamed my name, she used my first, middle, and last name, along with an accompanying "Jesus F-g Christ!" Guess who got a pornography talk? Guess who almost got banned from "teh intarwebz"?
Addendum to this tale: I was cruising through the web as I was writing this, and found a website that explains how to--ahem--get it on with dolphins and dogs. How and why do I find these things?
