Has anyone dealt with her or her firm? The website is pretty impressive. PE has virtually no info.

It sounds like she's pretty aggressive about getting her clients more money.

Writers' Reps and fiction

This agency, with Lynn Chu and Glen Hartley, says on its website that it represents literary fiction, yet in their long list of major clients and books, I cannot find any fiction titles.
Does anybody know what the deal is with this - why they say they represent literary fiction when they don't appear to do so (or have they)? I am just curious.

I almost couldn't find this thread - for some reason I was spelling "writers'" as the singular...

I just queried them with my mystery novel. They gave the option of e-mailing the entire manuscript, so that's what I've done. Hopefully if they think it starts slow they'll have enough there to look at. :)

I'm confused by this Agency's FAQ: in #8 they say they don't accept queries, but will accept "a coherent letter or email or send your material and CV (see 10. below)."

#10 says "You need to send: (i) your manuscript," etc.

So can you query or not? And what do you send them? I can't imagine they want the entire manuscript.

Anybody submitted to them recently, and if so, what did you send?

It looks to me like they want your manuscript, CV, and a list of your previous publications; but that they only look at manuscripts if they've already agreed to.

It's not clear at all. Perhaps you could email them and ask for clarification.

My take on their policies: they don't want a paper manuscript in snail mail if they haven't agreed to receive it. Thus, I sent CV and complete manuscript with a brief two-paragraph personal introduction and story summary via email.
