A rewrite request for my novelette!!! Yo-hoo!

The editors of Warrior Wisewoman just wrote to me with a very nice letter asking for a rewrite. They said, "there is a great deal we like very much about this story."

They want me to make two changes, one is to add some backstory, and the second is to tweak the ending to make the heroine a bit more proactive about her fate. I am of course going to do it.

Wow! This novelette was my first fiction submission ever. I am so, so thrilled!

Truth is, I think I managed to misrepresent the facts a bit. This novelette was the first piece of fiction I ever submitted, but it was rejected once (from Asimov's). The rejection caused me so much anxiety I decided I would not resubmit if it gets a rejection from WW.

So now I'm saying, keep submitting, people.
