Hi Gang, I found this great site I thought I'd share with you all. I've read online features with Janice Hardy, but I only visited this site today.

There's a whole LIST of resources on the left navigation bar: everything from editing to more in depth story analysis. Check it out! :-D

I offer a resource for writers on my blog, Righting Crime Fiction. I've worked in law enforcement for nearly twenty-five years. I'm a firearms instructor, defensive tactics instructor, certified police academy instructor, TASER instructor, former professional boxer, lifelong martial artist, and more. I founded and commanded my department's sniper team, worked as a detective for over a decade, worked as the chief investigator for a district attorney's office for over a decade, and much more. I offer police procedural information, lots of info on firearms, detailed fighting lessons, and more. The link I provided is to my new site. I'm in the process of moving all of my older posts to the new site. Feel free to check it out and ask questions about any law enforcement or fighting topic. If it's something you want to keep private, email me the question at [email protected].

Take it easy!

My publisher Bookouture is looking for crime/thriller submissions. It's a digital publisher and their crime books have been particularly successful, almost invariably reaching the Kindle Top 100 (occasionally nr 1) in amazon.co.uk.

Very impressive resume! I'll definitely stop by and check out your advice! I may have a question or two as well!

So far, I found http://www.realpolice.net/forums/writers-questions-218/

They can be generous in their answers, and just looking around at other topics gave me a lot of insight into LE.

My story also involved the FBI, and they have a department dedicated to helping writers get it right! I contacted them with questions about tools they used in the 1980's, as my story takes place in that time-line. They sent me folders and folders of docs! Super helpful!

As an aside, heh, I asked about this laser they use to look for fingerprints, I had no idea it was a huge monstrosity and NOT a hand held device! I'll just say, it was good to know!

Best wishes!

International Thriller Writers (ITW)--really good, great conferences
I was excited about the ITW link, but then I'm not someone who has received an advance from my Publisher, so I can't join. But it looks wonderful! Maybe later in my career?
