I suspect this guy is bad news. I found him on one of those web sites that says the New York industry is out to shaft new writers and i suspect he may offer editing services and a fee structure. Can't find him on the list:

I cannot find any web presence or address for the agent or the agency.

Wow, that's a blast from the past. When Ann and I started Writer Beware, he was on a number of "beware" lists--either for charging fees or referring to Edit Ink (a crooked editing service that paid kickbacks to agents who sent clients its way), I can't remember which. I don't think I've heard anything about him since the late 1990's.

Just to add some clarification. Hy Cohen is NOT to be mistaken with the legit & savvy Ms. Rob Cohen of The Cohen Agency (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98508) or Ruth Cohen of Ruth Cohen Inc. (http://www.anotherealm.com/prededitors/pealr.htm).
For some reason when I google Rob Cohen or Ruth Cohen, I end back on this twilight zone page.

Scary eh?
