Anyone have any suggestions on how to break into this market- any good contacts or behind the scenes info? I've researched a couple of the bigger producers websites, and seen the writers guidelines.,....but what I really want to know is-do they(editors) have a wish list, or series planned that they need writers for. And how do I find that out? Or is it best to spend a few hours pulling together suggestions, write a book outline and just do an old-fashioned proposal?
I did one book through a book packager (as an assignment) and really liked the field and want to get into it deeper; the guy I worked with doesn't have any other needs on the horizon.
Any advice and help greatly appreciated!
