As I'm writing about women in the California Gold Rush, I've found They Saw the Elephant: Women in the California Gold Rush to be especially helpful. It's light, humorous, interesting, emotional, critical, and completely engaging.

Hi writers! Someone can suggest me a book (or some books) about how the stagecoaches and stagecoaches service worked? Life on stagecoaches, the routes, how the stop stations worked, the stagecoach office in towns, the tickets, prices, etc.
Thank you :)

The journal of the Wild West History Association (http://wildwesthistory.org) is a great old west resource, as are the organizations members, which includes well known (to those interested in the period) authors, historians, and collectors.
