There is a true crime book called "A Marriage Made For Murder" about serial sex killing couple Paul and Karla Holmolka that was written and self published by Brian O'Neil (O'Neil Enterprises)

It is a rare book that can be currently found on Amazon for $74.99. I have seen it offered for as much $150 over the past few years.

As a person trying very hard to find a publisher for a true crime book on the women of death row, I would like to know how and why this guy could publish a book himself and it be so highly sought after and coveted.

What's the secret?

It's the rare book effect. There are few copies of the book and only a slightly larger number of serial killer groupees. If it could still be bought anywhere the supply would meet demand and the price would drop.

And one of the reasons it's a rare book is that the families of the victims have worked very hard to block the tireless efforts of people to make a buck off the murders of their children.
