Hello there, everyone!

Just signed on to AW and wanted to introduce myself to y'all. The name's Nanginoo - Mr. Nanginoo, if you're into the whole 'formality' thing. I've been writing scraps and scribbles for as long as I can remember, and finally decided to get in touch with the writing community. This seems like a swell place to start, and I'm looking forward to cruising the forums and getting to know you (whoever you may be)!

I grew up reading 'old school' authors, so my tastes tend to lean in that direction - Charles Dickens, F. Scott Fitzgerald, C.S. Lewis... and I've got a soft spot for Stephen King (though sometimes he frustrates me more than not). As far as genre-preference goes, I have no genre preference. Good writing is good writing and a good story can be told in any wheelhouse.

That's all for now - see you in the forums!

Welcome!

This is a great place to get your feet wet, wading in the waves before plunging head first into the ocean of possibilities!

There is a great deal of knowledge to be had from people who know what's what.

Happy to make your acquaintance and hope to see you around :D

Welcome to AW, Nanginoo!

This is definitely a swell writing community. The swellest (most swole?) in my opinion. There's more information here regarding writing and publishing than you can shake a stick at, plus a large, active community of writers at all stages of their writing journeys, and other industry pros, too.

Because AW is so large, it can be a bit daunting at first, but I'm sure you'll quickly find the spots you want to settle. It's certainly worth the effort to acclimate, in my opinion, and if you do, you'll likely find that your writing improves tenfold. I know mine certainly has!

See you around the boards :)
