my name is Jon. I write poetry and short stories. I'm interested in looking for publishing opportunities and maybe a coauthor ship. I found this site on Quora when I was researching an idea that I had to create a series of short stories using innuendo and dialogue between fictional characters to introduce how to write a mathematical proof among other things. similar to Alice in wonderland. It would use Limericks and nonsense words with real definitions. The idea was generally to have a mathematician or a science writer write out a universal step by step methodology for writing proofs if there is one and then introduce each step using dialogue between characters as the primary means of teaching. It wouldn't just have to be a mathematical proof. The same could be done for problem solving, the scientific method, a philosophical proof, a proof in physics etc. essentially composing each individual short story into an overall anthology, but I have no one in the St. Louis Area who I know of that would be interested in creating such a book which would both be a child/adult picture book potentially and a sort of text book with solve your own proof type story problems. I've never been published and this is only one of my many ideas. I was going to put up a job posting, but I don't think I have enough money to hire a mathematician. I'd love to coauthor a book with a logician particularly someone who has studied propositional logic as I don't think there is enough material on the subject of introductory propositional logic. I'm currently working on a science fiction novel that's in several parts. we'll see if it gets off the ground. You never know. I love linguistics. semantics. slang. I've even come up with political commentaries and my own invented profanity. It's the most hilarious thing when you get to call somebody a spigot bigot and they have no idea what you mean. God I love the USA and I love Urban Dictionary equally. you don't get more classic press than juvenile online dictionaries. I may be 28 but I don't think I'll ever outgrow the profound notion of being ogled to death by an ogler. personally they are the ogleist creatures in the whole multiverse and yes that was word play. LOL

AW is, in my opinion, the best writing place on the interwebs. The community is large and active, with writers at all stages of their writing journeys, and the amount of available resources is staggering.
It's a big place, and can be a little confuzzling at first but it's definitely worth the effort to acclimate.

. Sorry I won't be much help as far as that project goes, but it does sound very interesting!
