There's some useful stuff here, but...yeah. "Traditional" is a word I see used a lot, but the proper term is "trade." (There are few things more traditional than self-publishing, which has been around since writing began.)

And "hybrid" I see used for an author who both trade and self-publishes - IOW, there are no "hybrid" publishers, just hybrid authors. (I'm one. Hello!)

As long as people understand what's being discussed, I don't really have a leg to stand on objecting to terminology. I may kick up a fuss about replacing "vanity" with "hybrid," though - it smacks of trying to rehab the vanity publishing industry.
