So, I've been looking up places to build my author website (I've tried Wix and didn't care for it). I also don't want to do a blog, so that rules out some places that are strictly blog-centered. Anyways, earlier today I stumbled across Duda. Have you used it before? Should I be brave and try the free one-month trial?

Thanks in advance!

I suggest you start with a free WordPress.com account.

You don't have to use the blog features; you can choose to create your site without Posts or a blog, and just create Pages.

If you like it, you can then pay the fee to have a custom domain hosted by WordPress.com. It's easier than setting up your own server.

One of the advantages of using WordPress is that there are thousands of templates to choose from, many many people who can help you, and if you decide to move later you can take your content with you.
