...a New Year's movie. All the action takes place on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. It takes place in a snowy, wintery environment that just screams holiday fun. The character's take time out and acknowledge and celebrate the New Year. The message of hope and new beginnings is quite clear at the end. And it is also the perfect antidote to seasonal consumerism with it's scathing critique of Capitalism. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

ETA: For additional holiday points, some suggest Snowpiercer is actually the secret sequel to Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with Williard, in fact, being no other than Charlie Bucket himself.

Agreed. In fact, on a cold winter's night, an icy movie is a fine choice, especially if you have a fireplace and/or a warming beverage.

Maryn, who didn't watch a themed movie last night
