Day 24 - 154 words onThe Green Star. I got new headphones yesterday (Yay! I can't write without my music!) and my star-shaped fairy lights came in. I plan to put them on my bookshelf that I share with my twin sister.

Layla - You're right. If I love the idea I should write it and then see if 7 is too many.

ChaseJxyz - oof! Sorry about the migraine. My little teenage sister gets them and they look so painful. I hope you feel better soon.

Cindyt - My little sister's Spotify got hacked by Russian people and they played Russian music on her account (I'm not kidding).

Day 25- Drive by because today was busier then I had expected. Still got a bit more than 900 words and finished the rough draft of the flash piece. That is a Monday best for me this month. Yay!

I'm blaming politics for keeping me away from my goals the past week or so.

Still poking at the goals. Hope to climb back onto the horse.

The Second Moon... What kind of headphones did you get? I'm something of a headphone geek, though I sold off my expensive sets a while back. Still have the original version of the Creative Aurvana Live!, which is one of the best, inexpensive all rounders on the market. My old favorites, the Philips X2's, are beat up.

karasunoyashi... that was a good chunk you completed

April... you sound busy. Good luck with the outline

Morgan... yay for some progress.

Pterofan... you're not a day behind, they just keep sending work ahead of your schedule. :)

Woolybear... you'll get fired up again, no doubts.

I'm plodding along myself, with barely 1k done since I last reported in this thread. I'm still working out the mechanics of the climax in my mind, and since I hate writing outlines, and absolutely can't work from them, I'll need a little more visualized than I have right now before I start pounding on the keyboard in earnest.

I think some of the most fun I have in writing comes from letting it rip once I have a vague target. I stop after thirty or forty minutes and look at what's on the page, and wonder where the hell did that come from? And how do I make it work with the rest of the story?

Thanks Layla, Thanks Kerry, it's the good kind of distraction I've felt, the 'shift,' the scattered brain of things changing shape, but hoo it's knocked me down mentally and I've been trying to get back upright.

Reporting in earlier helped. I worked through about 30% of my accumulated critique circle feedback. That's enough for today. I'll take more swings tomorrow.

Well done everyone who did lots of words and hard work!

Stay safe, don't get the nasty bug.

Layla: Nice work on both WIPs
Second Moon: It's really hard for me to work without anything going on in the background, so I totally feel you there
Kara: That's awesome! Congrats on 900 words
April: Sounds like some good work
Morgan: Congrats on 517 words
Ptero: Great work on ~150 words
Woolly: You can do it!
Kerry: There's been times I've stopped writing for the day because I needed to think of mechanics in my head. Going on walks on doing chores helps with that, I've found
Keithy: 5.6k in a week is awesome! Great job!

Day 25: 4 tasks, -15 words. Used my Horse Specialist friend and changed some details on Horse Stuff to be more correct. Work was busy and had to write some Very Salty But Still Professional emails (you know, the "please advise" kind). Once that was done I made cake and took things easy the rest of the afternoon. Did a few things after dinner on [birds] and probably will go to bed early tonight, too.

Day 25 - 658 words on The Green Star I thought I had finished the first story in it, but I had a new idea on where the overarching plot should go. I need top write it down before I forget all the details.

Kerry - Mine are from the brand, OneOdio . They're only like 30 dollars and they work great.

EDIT: I forgot to say I made a book trailer for Barney and Mr. Thomas!!! I put it up on my website. The link to my website is in my signature.

Morgan: Nice work!

Pterofan: Nice 150.

Woolly: Awesome job working through that feedback.

Kerry: The climax always takes a good bit of thought. I’m sure it’ll click soon.

Layla: Woohoo for continued multi-tasking!

Keithy! That’s a great weekly count. Stay safe :)

Chase: Sounds like you really earned that cake!

karasunoyashi: Awesome work writing and editing.

Second: Excellent 658. Very impressed you made a book trailer!

Cindyt: Whack those baddies!

I typed up my pile of scruffy notes and worked a bit on the description. Just psyching myself up for the second draft!
