I'm new to AW and looking forward to getting to know some of you. I have studied and tried my hand at writing off and on for years, but I recently retired (pilot & flight instructor) so I am now pursuing my writing full-time.

I'm just over 100,000 words into my current WIP; a SciFi/Historical Fiction novel that should come in at 135K words. My goal is to finish the first draft by Christmas. If all goes well this is planned as the first of a 3-book series.
