Hello, my name is Mike Ott; My friends call me Mikey. I’m a recently paralyzed social worker and aspiring author. I read a lot, no specific genre. Once upon a time I wrote for a newspaper, before their extinction. I’ve also done a great deal of copyediting after college. The girl who T-boned my car and derailed my life was writing a grammatically incorrect text, so I'm a self-taught grammarian out of spite. Being paralyzed has given me a perspective that I don’t think one can possess unless she's been there. I have an extraordinary capacity for empathy, always have. Although I appreciate the sentiment, I need no pity. I’m here to learn, help where I can, have my writing obliterated, and make friends. So that’s my Hello… Nice to meet everyone
