My intro again with appropriate edits

I am a Canadian author/writer and have been writing for a decade... nonfiction -self -help -social-emotional learning-based. My favourite quote for today because it is the birthday of Jonathan Winters " I couldn't wait for success, so I went ahead without it." I hope other writers can relate. My favourite read will almost always be historical fiction. Balancing social media posts and writing time is a big challenge. Any tips appreciated. Also happy to help new writers.

Hi Tyler ..Interesting story that goes along with Jonathan Winters quote ..In the 1950's comedians were mostly doing impersonations but he was advised --go it alone --So he 'made up' characters instead of impersonating known famous people ..Hugely successful ..influenced Robin Williams and Jim Carrey ..so moral of that story ..believe in yourself

My book is unique in its nonfiction field so I am constantly trying to find new ways to 'educate' the public ..But i am 'creating' new.. Howabout you? cheers Linda

Balancing social media posts and writing time is a big challenge. Any tips appreciated.

Hey savvy sophic! Welcome. This was radical, but it helped me so much: My challenge was Facebook, and I deleted it from my phone, but kept it on my computers. So, it is much much easier for me to ignore during writing time. I think whatever works works, but I'm sure it comes down to being tough with yourself somehow. You'll find a way!

Hi David ..Thanks for your advice about Facebook ..I like Facebook for messenger video because it is a more stable video platform than skype..I don't post on Facebook ..and I have no interest in someone's latest meal

..I am promoting a self -published book so developing adverts on Canva and then posting on Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest is time-consuming
