Waltz with Bashir is 2008 Israeli animated semi-autobiographical film about the invasion of Lebanon and a man's attempts to figure out why he's blocking out his memories from the time. Winner of the golden globe and nominated for an academy award for best foreign language film its critical acclaim is long but I always like to bang the drum to show how animated film can be art. I know the whole area is contentious but go in with an open mind and I think whatever your leanings you'll find an interesting look into morality and conflict. Here's the trailer:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylzO9vbEpPg I think its obvious but dont show this to kids.

If this seems interesting don't look up a full review or synopsis. The journey is most of this movie and though Ive re-watched it a few times the first time was genuinely a life changing experience.

You can find it on YouTube and its only an hour and a half.
