Not even the frigid air biting his face could phase him, infact, there seemed little that could evoke much of anything from him right now, let alone an attempt to feel any particular way toward the current weather which had begun to announce itself late that previous night by way of small white specs falling from the heavens.
A hard knock on his back incessantly followed him as he walked, a reminder of both everything he had left behind and everything he now had. Shoved into this backpack were his most necessary belongings, nothing else.
Sounds of traffic and the bustles of everyday city life surrounded him, a rowdiness which did nothing to convince him he wasnt alone, afterall, he felt just this, and no offerings of mundane noise could persuade him to feel otherwise.
Displays of brilliant white now blanketed the city streets and had found themselves snug and content on roofs and various surfaces out of the way of the business of the streets where it would not be bothered. This grand appearance gave a far more spectacular impression in contrast to how he was feeling. The roads however had managed to adopt a greyish tone where heat and moisture from passing traffic met with the snow to create an unflattering sludge.
He continued to make his way through the city, his shoes crunching against the snow beneath as his mind swelled around in thought, recalling the previous nights altercation which now saw him on these very streets, on this very day. He expected there would be an implication to his revelation, this much he knew. It was inevitable. still, he could not foresee this outcome.
