BizMindedWriter here.
I have joined the forum in hopes of learning to be a better writer and, one day, publish my first novel in the first step to starting my novel selling empire. (Get it- BizMindedWriter. lol)
I love all things SciFi and Thrillers and I hope to produce novels/novellas of the same.
I hope to also write a few non-fiction books based on tricks/tips I have learned in life thus far.
Outside of writing I enjoy weight training and skipping rope to keep in shape.
My goal is to successfully sell ebooks on Amazon and similiar platforms and be able to live off my soon to be published work.
I have read "How To Write" books from the likes of James Scott Bell, James Patterson, Orson Scott Card, K.M. Weiland, Chris Fox, Jessica Brody, and so many others.
I hope to be able to mimick the sales/reader satisfaction success of the likes of Nick Webb, Chris Fox, Craig Alanson, J.N Chaney, Evan Currie, Mark Greaney and many others along the lines of SciFi/Thriller/Space Opera genres.
I study their work and hope to be able to mimick what they have achieved.
My strengths:
-Action Scenes/Sequences
-Using Dialogue to push the story forward
My weakness:
-Finding a good structure to write my novels. (Three Act vs. Dan Harmon's story circle vs Save the Cat Beats, etc)
-Characterization
Besides novels/novellas, hope to also produce some poetry on the side.
Sorry for all the "I" statements. My ninth-grade english teacher would be lecturing me right now if she saw. LOL.
