Me? I’m just some dude. You’ll probably have forgotten me, if we ever met.
As for my writer stuff. It’s been a long road. From game design, to high concept story development and eventually where I am today: In the final throws of editing and polishing my first stab at narrative fiction. A dark epic fantasy, called the Dawn of Dingus, a Hero’s Adventures into Horticulture.
I’m just joshing. Dingus hates plants. He only likes punching people in the face. He’s totally ripped. And the chicks love him. And he flexes real subtle-like whenever he takes off his shirt.
My readerly interests wander all over, from classics to trashy popular fiction. Most of my work has been in fantasy and science fiction so they rank high on my list. But good writing is just that, so I’ll check out anything crafted with care.
As for willingness to be a beta reader, hmmm… It’s a big commitment. But I might give it a try. I’m mostly hardwired for spotting story problems, and I cannot be relied upon for grammar or punctuation. “Ma’ wurds R bad, an I’d rune yur book.” Is the first sentence in Dingus Returns!, which is the sequel I’m drafting. But I’ll peek into the beta reader section, once I’ve acclimated here for a bit.
Anyway, I’m just here to say hello. And I’m curious what I’ll find as I mine through this trove of writerly stuff.
