Long before the pandemic, I wrote a series of articles for the local county historical journal based on records I found at my office (state archives). These are stories that have widely been forgotten, and even though they were accepted, I began to doubt if I’d ever see them in print. Well, earlier this week I got a copy of 2020 #1 with a note from the editor saying my other stories would come out in the following editions.

There’s no pay, but it feels good to have contributed to the preservation of knowledge.

Thank you, everyone! I am proud of what I’ve done. One of the stories is a murder, a perfect premise for a “whodunit?” So I’m shamelessly appropriating it for my first delve into the mystery genre.
