I just changed my password, and immediately after was unable to send a tweet. The message I get when I try is:
"This request looks like it might be automated. To protect our users from spam and other malicious activity, we can’t complete this action right now. Please try again later."
This link will show you what apps have access to your Twitter, along with what devices are logged into it: https://twitter.com/settings/applications Since we still don't know what caused this, it would be a good idea to take a look and revoke access to anything you don't remember/don't use anymore.
