Hello! New Member Alert

Hi all!

I'm Mary, it's nice to meet you all! I've been lurking here on and off for a while, but I'm getting ready to enter the query trenches for real this time, so I figured it was time to make an account and join the conversation. Looking forward to meeting more writers, learning, growing, and sharing. Most of all, looking forward to being part of a forum community again. As a 90's kid I grew up on forums like these, so, it's nice to see some parts of the internet where threads were born are still alive and well.

I'm been writing -- jeez, forever? I have illegible undated journals from some early part of my childhood. But I've been "taking my writing seriously" since early 2019, when I started submitting short stories to literary magazines, and editing my adult fantasy manuscript that had been collecting dust (if word documents can collect dust) for too long. I write speculative fiction of all bents and I'd like to try dipping my toes into sci-fi eventually, but it's daunting to be bound by physics.

Hehe, I felt like an easy way to signal true '90s rep would be posting *NSYNC lyrics or showing my Matrix fandom... I obviously picked the latter. (I'm also a HUGE Keanu Reeves fan and Matrix 4 is back in production...it's been like a splinter in my mind.)
