Hello! My name is Paul but I go by Voltekka on the internet. I've recently gotten the opportunity to pursue writing and I would like to turn it into a career. It's always been my dream to publish something great with my name on it and now I finally have the time to do it.
I'm a big fan of science fiction and fantasy, it's what I love to read and write. Add a twist of “dystopian” and we have ourselves a party! I want my first work to be in fantasy as I've bathed in it all my life. I haven't written in many years, especially for long periods at a time. I have a large need to refine my technique because my attempt at college 10 years ago didn't go so well. I am reading a book about creative writing and it suggested I join a writing group. I read that this forum is the best so here I am!
I've always been a sort of jack-of-all-trades (master of none) kind of person. I love learning about everything from ancient history to quantum mechanics. I'm sort of a trivia type of person, tons of knowledge but nothing important. I have a background in tech support. Finally, I play video games every single day.
