The Writers Police Academy, an 11 or 12-year-old conference for writers to learn cop stuff, had to postpone the 2020 edition, as North Carolina didn't move on to Stage 3 of reopening. Originally scheduled for Aug 6-9 in Raleigh in concert with Sirchie, the conference is now moving online only, on 6-7 August. It'll still the same instructors, just without the hands-on opportunities. Watch https://writerspoliceacademy.com/ for more info on registration, or check out the WPA page on Facebook.
The 2021 conference will be in Green Bay, and if you've already registered for the canceled 2020 edition, you can defer your registration to next year. The 2020 online edition is a separate event.
I attended last year in Raleigh and learned a ton. I'd already registered for this one, although I was on the fence about actually attending. Lee Lofland always puts together a great conference.
