Hi! It's my first day here. Want to be friends?
I'm looking forward to spending time in the forums, gleaning wisdom from seasoned old timers and commiserating with fellow struggling newbs. I've always wanted to write a novel. Recently I realized that, if I were to end up on my death bed tomorrow, chief among my regrets would be failing to give it a shot. So I'm doing my best to get started, and learn from others on the same path.
The book I'm trying to write is mystery/suspense, and I'm using the Snowflake Method to create an outline. Originally I thought it would fall under the category weird fiction—a lifetime love of mine—but the supernatural elements weren't really helping the storyline. Plot doesn't come naturally to me, so I hope I can learn some tricks of the trade from writers interested in related genres, and maybe other folks using Snowflake.
In the interest of brevity, I'll end my introduction here. Thanks for reading!
