Long waits for absolutewrite.com

Hello! First time listener, first time caller...
In trying to use this site for any activity (register, etc.) I usually wait 15-20 seconds (I timed it) for the absolutewrite.com server to reply. I'm on a "wicked fast" fiber optic system. Most sites respond quickly, up to "finger not off ENTER". The problem is unique to this site. In this session, waits have varied from CDC-approved handwash time to reasonable.

Thoughts?

I'm sure one of the mods will be along shortly with a more detailed explanation, but the site has only recently been back online after a series of 'bot attacks. There are some protective protocols in place that are slowing the page loads down.

It's the Cloudflare service; it's worse during points of high bot activity, but we really need to protect the server.

The DDOS attacks earlier this year specifically targeted the server.
