Hi everyone!

My writer cousin suggested I check out Absolute Write to learn more about working with self-published authors as a professional editor. For the last seven years, I have taught analytical and creative writing to college students while completing my PhD in English/Media Studies. I've also published several academic journal articles and book chapters, and I recently completed a 71,000-word manuscript for my dissertation on girlhood and digital celebrity. Now, I'm a self-employed copywriter and developmental editor eager to extend my editing expertise to anyone working in fiction or nonfiction genres. I love working one-on-one with writers, either as a meticulous proofreader or brainstorming consultant, and welcome anyone to reach out with questions.

Looking forward to being a part of the community!

Hello and :welcome:

May I ask what kind of book chapters you published (components of your dissertation, how-to / self-help books, creative writing, editor of an anthology, other)? Trade published or self-published?

I am not looking for editorial services, but in case others might want to know. Good luck.

Hi, and welcome. There's a fair number of people here with surprisingly similar backgrounds, one of whom has already found you. Obviously you're going to fit right in.
