First Line of The Day

Sorry if this is too close to the "the share the last line you write" Thread. Mods feel free to delete this if it is too similar.

I found that sharing my last line on AW was a good way to get myself writing, but I also felt that the first line you write during the day was super important. That's what this thread is decided to... sharing the first line of the day. Hopefully this will help me and others get better at writing everyday. Have fun!

Here's my first line of the day.

Meck flicked a switch to turn on the map and one appeared in the corner of the windshield.

It was lunchtime so smell of seafood drifted into his nostrils.

A door opened, and his father entered the dining room.
