In the run-up to 2015, you could sort of wave away media love for Trump by pointing out that Trump was a major clown-show, and clown-shows garner clicks and readers, which sells advertising.

But this time? Bloomberg is as flamboyant as a dead-three-days squirrel. Hard to see their coverage of him as not being partly a form of wealth worship.

It may also be simple misogyny, but I keep in mind most of mainstream media is pretty conservative. I don't mean that they're all voting Republican, but neither are they carrying hippy-dippy socialist water. Their employers are Big Business, whose CEOs benefit from Republican tax policies. Certainly, the Wall Street Journal will fawn over a status quo Democrat more than candidates that talk about raising taxes on those who can best afford it, and reigning in the excesses of Big Business. Including the media conglomerates.

It's hard to trust that chart when they put The Hill in the center.

I've found the Media Bias / Fact Check to be fairly accurate. I don't agree with all of its determinations, as I've seen articles that look like Russian propaganda in some of its "highly factual" media, but my bias is admittedly towards what AllSides determines "far left" media (because they report well documented facts ignored by centrist media).

In regards to the difference between AllSides and MBFC, here are the MBFC determinations for the media AllSides put in its far left column.

Jacobin (which I hadn't heard of before) is the farthest left but not to the Extreme label. In comparison, AllSides includes Breitbart as a news source in its far left column.

AllSides' founder was a part of Microsoft's original team and "previously was a professional political campaigner and executive director in the 1980s working for the Republican National Committee as well as for candidates for US President, US Senate, US Congress, Governor and local campaigns." Thhe co-founder's introduces "the AllSides star designer and Drupal-smith who is also the the Russian-born musician and psytrance producer behind Penta" before providing that "Scott managed the Global Web Team for Check Point Software" (founded in Israel).
