Hello all!
My name is Tyler Wick. I write to you in the middle of a rain storm that has me housebound for the time being. I would like to say that it gives me time to write, but it really just gives me time to think about writing. I'm up to my sideburns in WIPs; a stack of short stories, scraps of poems, and five or six novel fragments, all of which hook my attention at once (which is a large part of why I never get anything done).
I began to miss the workshop aspect of the creative writing classes I took during undergrad. Honest criticism is hard to come by, especially when your audience is limited to friends and family. I'm hoping to find something more constructive than "It's good, honey! I just don't get it."
