Capitalization issue - I see it written both ways on line.
Is it:
He sliced her achilles tendon...
or
He sliced her Achilles tendon...

?

I think "Achilles tendon" is correct (at least that's how I learned it back in my paramedic days :greenie and a quick check into a couple of medical dictionaries seems to support the capitalization).

Thanks everyone.

My protagonist is in the process of killing one of his antagonists. Fight scene time.

Just so's you know, lots of ebook publishers accept the capitalization decisions (and spelling, too) of Merriam-Webster as law, so you can always check there.

If you're smart, you'll also make yourself a list of every one you've looked up so you don't have to do it more than once. Mine's alphabetized.

Adam’s apple, with a capital
adrenaline
adviser and advisor are both correct, be consistent
airbag, one word
air-conditioning
A-list, noun, hyphenated
ambience, not ambiance, never mind that all my spell checkers were cool with it

...and so on.

Wow! You’re really organized. Impressive!

I usually start out that way, but then chaos ensues.

Thanks for the tip.
