I recall that for a long time, US Army tours in Korea were 12 or 18 months. Is that accurate for the 1990s?
I'm also wondering if a soldier on a 4-year enlistment would get rotated out of Korea after that first tour. When I was in the Army in the mid-80s, I had a 3-year enlistment and went to Germany. Rotating me home after my 2 years in Germany would have left me with less than 6 months until the end of my enlistment, so they involuntarily extended me in Germany until my ETS date. Wondering how that compares to Korea.
