Very productive day got me caught up and with a small buffer (that can disappear in one bad day, but still a buffer!). I'm writing short chapters for this, so my very bad day chapter turned into three.
I wrote a couple paragraphs yesterday that glossed over some events that happened off camera, as it were, so I decided to go back today and write out said events as they'd happened. Which are slightly different than what I'd written about yesterday. And tomorrow, I'm probably going to continue writing this sequence. And then mush all this together. Because you can easily move things around in Scrivener.
Inciting incident? Oh. Yeah. Sure. I got one of them. Somewhere.
(guys, I'm off work for hip surgery, and I really, really don't want to work on my doctorate degree school work. This is the evidence of too much free time and a LOT of procrastination)
Day 14: 1551
Total: 15,315
I know that's way "behind," but I actually feel pretty good about it. I have NOT been doing 1k a day, but it looks like I have, and that's my realistic feel-good rate. Everything else is gravy.
Congrats to all the folks hitting goal, though! I'm super impressed.
Day 14: 1604 words.
Day 15: 3353 words.
Total: 34,769 words.
At least I'm into the last act, where Things Start Looking Up. (Also had an idea for a certain scene, which prompted me to add the additional note of "SHIP SHIP SHIP SHIP SHIP" to it in my list of scenes for Act 3.)
