I'm curious..
in Erotica is the last scene usually a sex scene, perhaps the best sex of the novel? Or is it just as common and acceptable to have the last scene non-sexual?
Say for example you were writing an erotica that had a story woven through it about fighting off the zombies. The climax of the story is the big fight. Do you end it there or being erotica would readers expect sex to follow?
Now, if we look at the Erotic Romance genre where the love story is the most important element in the story, should it end with the scene where they say the thing that makes for the HEA, or are they expected to finish off with sex?
