Hi all,

I'm looking forward to learning from everybody here and growing as a writer. Aside from being a stay-at-home dad for 16 years, I have primarily meandered through the world of visual art. About five years ago, while writing an MFA thesis (for painting not writing), I realized that I loved writing far more than painting. I should have known. It was always the storytelling aspect of art that gave me a zing. Since that realization, I've focused my time on learning everything I can about the craft. Along with various short stories and prompt exercises, I've finished a novella and am currently wrapping up a speculative fiction novel. I have loved every minute of the struggle.

I realized that before I go too much further, I should probably come out of my writing cave and interact with other writers. I have so much to learn. Thank goodness for forums like this!
