Book Rec: Murdery romcom?

Not a book, but the film Grosse Pointe Blank (John Cusack, Minnie Driver) has a lot of murders and a romance.

Hmm. I'm thinking maybe Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie?

Also fist-bump for Grosse Pointe Blank. Ripping film.

Kellye Garrett's murder mysteries are on the lighter end and focus on Hollywood. They're fun, but maybe not quite rom-com level of romance focus.

Kind of an odd mix, first thought was an 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag or I married an Ax Murderer kind of thing. Not sure there's a genre, maybe black comedy? But I'm intrigued as to why you're asking. Planning to write one? Already written one?

Some cozy mysteries come from the romance side of things, so they have a mystery and a central romance. It isn't a separate genre within the genre or anything, but the descriptions will usually mention the romance as well as the murder. Whereas if they're murder all the way down, there's probably not much romance.

No Accounting for Destiny is a mystery rom-com, but I don't think there's a murder in it? I'm trying to remember, but I think it's just a kidnapping...
