In view of the recent death of Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal, I'm opening a thread for any questions you may have about Sikhs. Any questions at all.

Blessings,

Thanks. I have no questions, but my best friend in high school was a Sikh (though most of my friends were non-Sikh Indians), and it was neat getting to experience his culture at a backyard party once. They were very welcoming to me, and even though this was over 20 years ago, I noticed in my stories I tend to include Indian or Sri Lankan characters based on my personal experiences.

Thanks for posting. Glad you had a good experience.

Sikhs love to feed people. After a service, we sit down and have a meal together. That was a huge innovation for the time and place, because Hindus bound to the caste-system (many are now breaking away from it) won't eat food prepared by someone of a lesser caste, nor would they sit down side by side with someone of a lesser caste. This is not an issue for Sikhs.
