I am writing a premise pilot for a series but I heard networks don't like premise pilots and I want advice on how to write a good one and how to increase my chances of breaking into television with it? I do know that they say series stories should already be established by the first episode which would be called non-premise pilots but I also heard that premise pilots exist and I feel that it's good for my story for the audience to know what happened before they get into the story and why it happened.

Sure they exist, and can be good, if they're not too overt about it. It's like a prologue, people hate them, and generally, the info can just be folded in, but sometimes, a bit works.

It's not like you just need a pilot, so work on a bunch of episodes and then adjust.
