Hello all, I've been looking for a site like this, and glad I found it. I enjoy writing flash fiction, flash nonfiction, and creative nonfiction. I have lots of experience in the creative arts (music, design), and have been writing for several years, but have just started sharing my work and submitting. There's a lot to learn!

I love the forest. I also love gardening, but I am not particularly good at it…

Anyways, looking forward to discussions around the water cooler!

When I think of forests, I think of evergreens which have no business being that tall, zero natural light, and logging trucks trundling down from the mountain. What are the forests like in Virginia?
