The title? Recent dialogue from my household.

Hi from Texas! We have no lions but we do have plenty of other things that'll kill you. Namely, rattlesnakes and wild hogs.

Fantasy, paranormal, and usually a little love. If it's magic, I'm game.

Reading:

See above. And I've been known to pick up an SF book now and again.

How long have I been writing?

As a fiction hobbyist, from a very young age. I was the one who geeked out when we got a creative writing assignment. As more than a hobbyist? I'm getting there. My first finished manuscript was... garbage. Don't get me wrong; I celebrated when I finished it. Then I buried it in the digital graveyard section of Google Drive.

Now I'm writing other stories.

Do I beta read?

Not yet, but I'm open to it. I do have some peer review experience. Sidebar: My conscience is a barbed whip, so I don't rip off people's work. Or break the speed limit. Or take the tags off my mattress, even though it says I can. Because, you know... just in case.

Hobbies

Baking, gaming, and fountain pens. Oh, and I read. A lot. The only thing I use my TV for is gaming.

Work

I was a radio personality and voice actress for 17 years, until about 2 years ago. I've also produced (or had a hand in producing) over a thousand podcast episodes for various clients during the last 8 years. I've also got some pretty sweet video skills.

Currently, I work from home as the AV and Creative Director for a company I co-founded, and I contract my AV skills for an online marketing company that *gasp* actually HELPS people.

So that's me! Wife, mother, pet guardian, and story fanatic who loves to make cool things for people.

Most definitely! I've already dipped my toe in those waters with previous clients, but It'll be so rewarding to do my own stuff. I know exactly what inflection to use and what to emphasize.

Yaaaaasssssssss! In truth, the fountain pens have spurred my writing like nothing else. There's something meaningful about putting ink to paper and the lack of a delete button.

The ones I've enjoyed most recently: AC Origins, God of War, RDR2, and I'm currently playing Breath of the Wild.

I take after my mother, who refuses to remove tags from clothing she has worn less than a year (unless they are "unhideable")... just in case she decides she doesn't like the outfits. Spoiler: That's never happened.

I did do some voice acting for indie games, but mostly it was business-related. Once, I did a two-hour-long read of medical jargon with the client listening and correcting as I read. I realized after the fact that my audio interface had gone on the fritz and I recorded nothing but a buzz. Fun day, that.
