Hello everyone that happens to click on this thread! You can all call me Max or Burke, as you please. I am brand new here.
I'm an aspiring writer and an avid science fiction junkie. I am currently writing a sci-fi novel, called Nova.
I hope to get to know you all on the forum, and to meet other science fiction writers as well! I hope to submit some of my
writing on the forum in the near future, and get feedback on it. I've gotten lots of positive reactions from family and friends,
but i'd also like to hear from more plainly objective people without any moral obligation to please me.

Hi Burke, as you please! Welcome! :hi: I'm Kat, and I'm a smart-aleck. It has been 0.000001 seconds since my last bit of snark.

Tell us about Nova. What's the premise?

Your peeps will likely be here, though you will find them throughout the board. You'll need 50 substantive posts in order to post for critique, but that's a great way to get to know people. :)

Plainly objective feedback is soooo painful but so worth it. We have wonderful, kind, but brutally honest folk around here.

Enjoy your stay! :)

Welcome Max Burke. I couldn't decide which one to go with, so I took the easy way out. (cursed indecision.) Best of luck with Nova.

Thanks everyone, for your warm welcome! I look forward to all the work I have to do in order to get to 50 posts, as they, the adventure is in the journey, and not the destination.
Now, I shall give a brief synopsis of the story of Nova.

It's about two thirteen-year-old girls, Nova, and her best friend Marlin. They live in a colony on Mars far in the future,
after the destruction of Earth's atmosphere, and the downfall of mankind. Nova and Marlin are selected to go on a sightseeing trip around the solar system, called the
Young Explorer's Program. After first boarding the spacecraft, everything seems fine. But that's only before they end up stranded in space, millions of light years away from Mars.
They end up in a first contact scenario with an intelligent alien race. Will they be destroyed? Or will they get back home with the help of their new friends? That is the story...

Anyway, I hope that little synopsis gave you an idea of what my story is about. I will answer questions you have, about myself, my characters, or my story. For know... Maxwell Burke, out...
